2. Overview
This website does not set cookies, does not use analytics, tracking or advertising services and does not embed content from other providers. Fonts, images and videos are stored on our own web space. We only process personal data to provide the website and to handle your enquiries.
3. Visiting the website and server log files
The website is hosted by IONOS SE, Elgendorfer Str. 57, 56410 Montabaur. Each time the website is accessed, IONOS processes technically necessary access data: the page or file requested, date and time, the previously visited page (referrer), browser and version, operating system, device type and the IP address. The purpose is the secure and stable operation of the website. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR, in German DSGVO); our legitimate interest lies in this secure operation. IONOS acts for us as a processor (Auftragsverarbeiter) under Art. 28 GDPR.
4. Enquiry form
When you submit the form, we receive the details you enter: ship type, services, shipyard or location, time frame, staff required, whether Ü2 security clearance is required, description, name, company, phone number, email address and up to five files. Only a phone number or an email address is mandatory; without one we cannot reply. All other details are voluntary.
The form sends your details as an email to marcel.bekci@electronautics.de. We do not store them on the web server. We forward files exactly as you upload them. They may contain metadata. If you do not want this, remove that data before uploading.
We use the details to review and answer your enquiry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR if you yourself wish to enter into a contract with us. If you are enquiring on behalf of a company, the legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in handling business enquiries. We delete the details once the enquiry has been dealt with. If it leads to an order, we keep the business correspondence for as long as the retention periods under commercial and tax law require.
5. Protecting the form against misuse
To prevent the form from being misused on a large scale, we only allow a few enquiries per hour from each IP address. For this purpose, the script creates a check value from a secret random value, your IP address and the current hour, and stores a counter for it in a temporary file on the web server. The IP address itself is neither stored nor transmitted in the email. The form also detects automated entries by means of a field that is invisible to humans and by the time taken to fill it in. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR; our legitimate interest lies in protection against spam and overload.
6. Contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, we process your details in order to deal with your request. Section 4 applies accordingly to the legal bases and the storage period.
7. No cookies
The website does not set cookies and does not store any identifiers that could be used to recognise you. Your browser storage only keeps a few technical settings: whether a hint has already been shown, whether you chose the compact view, and where you were on the page when you go back. This information does not leave your device. The legal basis is Section 25(2) no. 2 TDDDG. The sound on the home page is off until you switch it on yourself; this choice is not saved.
8. Recipients
Within our company, only the people who handle your enquiry receive your details. The technical service provider for hosting and email is IONOS SE, acting as a processor under Art. 28 GDPR. We do not transfer your data to countries outside the European Union or the European Economic Area.
9. Your rights
You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18) and data portability (Art. 20). To exercise these rights, contact info@electronautics.de.
10. Right to object
Where we process data on the basis of Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR, you may object to this processing at any time on grounds relating to your particular situation (Art. 21 GDPR).
11. Right to lodge a complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR). The authority responsible for us is the Unabhängiges Landeszentrum für Datenschutz Schleswig-Holstein (ULD), Holstenstraße 98, 24103 Kiel.
12. Encryption
The website and the form transmit data in encrypted form (TLS).
